The brief was to engage Co-op shoppers with an experiential display that brought the delicious Ben & Jerry’s Sunny Honey Home flavours to life, creating a fun and inviting in-store moment that encouraged discovery and trial.
Concept 1 - Get the Bees to Their Sunny Honey Home
Get the Bees to Their Sunny Honey Home is a playful, social-first in-store game that invites shoppers to take aim and have fun together. Participants throw bee-shaped bean bags into a giant honeycomb installation, aiming for the starred hexagons that represent the bees’ home.
Landing three bees in the correct hexagons completes the challenge. Once successful, shoppers scan a QR code displayed on the installation to unlock their reward. They are encouraged to capture and share a photo of their win, with the QR code delivering a digital voucher valid that day only, redeemable at checkout.
The experience blends light skill, friendly competition and social sharing, creating a joyful moment in-store while reinforcing Sunny Honey Home as a playful, feel-good summer treat.
Concept 2 - Giant Beehive Kerplunk Game
A large-scale, Kerplunk-style game sits at the front of the store in the form of a playful giant beehive. Shoppers are invited to take part by carefully pulling out two sticks, each topped with a friendly bee. Hidden inside the hive are pots balanced between the sticks.
If a pot drops out of the bottom of the hive, the player wins a full-sized tub of Ben & Jerry’s Sunny Honey Home ice cream, which can be collected from a member of staff at checkout.
The game creates a moment of suspense, excitement and reward, turning the store entrance into a buzz-worthy summer experience that encourages participation, delight and brand discovery.
